CO-OP MEMBERSHIP
When you join the co-op, you get access to the office. Your membership includes a private mailbox, locker room and access to the administrative space six days a week. You may use this space whenever there is space available, and also bring your biller or receptionist and MA to room patients.
As a member, your name is posted on the sign in the building’s lobby. A Patient tracker system is installed on the television in the waiting room. Half the screen shows the “doctors present and other information. Video commercials can be uploaded at a modest additional fee. Website design and maintenance assistance is also available at a modest additional fee. Electronic medical records (EMR), electronic health records (EHR), billing, coding and HR services are also available upon request for a modest additional fee. Help is also available for those who need assistance applying for privileges or completing applications and paperwork for managed care contracts, insurance, and Medicare additional office reporting, concierge membership sales, and payer payment reassignment forms.
BLOCK TIMES
Exam rooms are reserved in four-hour blocks.
Physicians self-book using an app to select the days of the week and whichever exam rooms they prefer. Book and pay for them right on the app.
Essentially, the system is a la carte fractional use business model. For each location, the effective minimum membership target is about 15 to 18 physicians. However, in a 50,000 sf space, roughly 40 to 45 physicians can be accommodated at 80 percent utilization of the space.
